About

What I do

I help build connections between brands and audiences by making products and services relevant to real people through a blend of strategic insight, creativity and technology.

Being capable of end-to-end design means that I can remain hands-on throughout the project process, from initial understanding of the problem and audience, right through to design and launch. Over the years I've been able to develop a broad range of skills including UI design, UX design, prototyping, research, design thinking, creative strategy and management.

I've worked in the UK since 2010 for leading retail brands including Net-A-Porter and Mr Porter, Moss Bros, Sainsbury's, Habitat, Uswitch and Lloyds Banking Group.

For nearly the last 3 years I have been working for Foolproof — a global digital product and brand studio — leading projects for clients such as AXA, SITA, Faactum, Suzuki and for the last 18 months Sky Mobile.

My design solutions are always produced with rigour, insight and attention to detail — and the results have often been both rewarding and highly effective.

A bit more about me

I was born in Italy and soon after I moved with my family to Brooklyn N.Y. where I spent the first 12 years of my life.

Once we returned to Italy, I spent my teenage years in my hometown in Sicily, until I finished secondary school and moved to Milan to study Industrial Design at the Polytechnic University of Milan (Politecnico di Milano), completing a Master Degree with specialisation in Visual Communication Design.

Many colleagues and friends would say that I am a hard-working individual eager to always learn more about design and improve my skills. I love to focus on the problem at hand, understand it thoroughly and create products that solve problems for real people.

I would also add that I’ve got an inclination to ‘thinking out of the box’ and a firm belief that anything is possible. Most importantly, by understanding client’s/customer’s needs or problems (which I’d rather think as opportunities) I can translate them into innovative and, at times, daring concepts.

When I'm not at work, I'll probably be entertaining myself with a bit of art (certainly at the top of my interest), painting and drawing especially. I also enjoy photography, books, music and cinema, powerful sources of inspiration, that often feed me original ideas.
